For something a little bit different this year, as well as the traditional Winter Solstice event on the Saturday night, there's going to be a Winter Solstice swim too. You can't say there's never anything to do on Bruny!

Last Sunday the Boat Club hosted a Boat and PWC License Course that turned out to be very successful. The clubhouse was full to overflowing with almost 30 attendees all keen to get their boat license.
Ever wondered how the Alonnah Pontoon came to being? Maybe not but there's a very interesting back story to the pontoon and the facility we now enjoy today. It seems if it wasn't for the efforts of Maurice Dillion, the Warden of Bruny Island back in the early 70's, the pontoon (and most likely) the Boat Club wouldn't exist today.
